Make Sodium Silicate
Here, I make Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3).
First, measure out 12 grams of Silica Gel (SiO2). Then, add 20mL of water into a test tube. Add the Silica into the test tube of water. After that, add 8 grams of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) to the test tube. Finally, heat up the test tube with a torch or hot plate until all Silica dissolves. Let it cool down and you will have a concentrated solution of Sodium Silicate and Water.
